Personal Information

Physical Description: While overlty tall, Pete is can hardly be considered "imposing". He radiates a sort of calmness and happiness that usually relieves any fear that his height brings. Along with his constant smile, he walks much too slowly and talks far too much to be considered a threat. His body type is muscular, but because of his height he appears to be quite lanky, almost falling into the skinny catagory. His most striking feature is his brilliantly red hair, which sits on his cap like a mop.
Clothing: Pete is never seen without his classic black cape. It is a signature of his appearance, like his red hair. Another "classic Pete" piece of clothing is the half-buttoned white shirt worn under the cape, left open at the top. He also wears rather... "flashy" pants with a unique floral pattern on them. On his feet, simple sandals. Sometimes he will wear a red sash around his waist.
Picture:
Personality Pete's happy-go-lucky attitude is almost fundamental to the core of his being. When compared to other people, it can be said that Pete has a shining smile, and eminates an energy of peace, and joy. His happiness is so great that generally, just being around him will make other people happier. Pete believes his extreme positive attitude is the source for his Haoshoku Haki, and those who have been subjected to it claim it to be much more pleasant then any other Haoshoku Haki. Rarely seen without a smile, Pete seems eager to spread his happiness with anyone else who is interested in it.
However...
While his flame of joy may flicker brightly, it can be noted that he has an incredible distaste for "evil doers", so murderers, thieves and anyone else who does bad things is considered an enemy of Pete, and he does not go easy on his enemies. People report a flash of pure rage across his face before he strikes down those who do unjust and wrong things.
Likes: Love, peace, joy, etc. Most things that can be considered "good" fall under this catagory.
Dislikes: Hate, violence, anger, etc. Similarly, most "evil" things go here.
History The Story of Pete:
Day one: Pete was born, unable to do very much at all. However, as the doctor slapped his bare, baby butt, the boy let out a scream loud enough to knock out the all the doctors save for the one holding him. Well, supposedly it was the scream that knocked them out, but Pete's parents knew better. The boy had a certain, very rare talent that had shown itself at birth. Ah, destined for greatness even at birth.
Day two: Pete was taken home by his mother and father, both lovely people, and began his very young life as a miserable, crying, pooping, smelly baby.
Okay, let's skip a few years or we're gonna be here forever.
Year Eight to Year Twelve:
Up to this point, Pete was raised very well. Taught by his parents to show love and compassion to all things, he was a very friendly and popular boy in the town and had many friends. Pete had a deep-rooted sense of peace and happiness that only a child could understand. His age complimented his simple, pleasant and fulfilled existence to the fullest, and Pete lived his life in a pure form of happiness.
Year Thirteen:
But things change. People are evil, people are rude, and people do things that are just plain rude. And horrendous. Toroa, and island of happiness, was struck unfortunately by a great crew of disgustingly evil bandits. Bandits, unlike pirates, roam lands and attack innocent people sheerly for the amassment of wealth. While some pirates do similar things, most follow a code of honor. But not bandits. They stormed the town that Pete lived in, burning, raping, pillaging, slaughtering all they could find. All of Pete's friends, family, romantic interests, pets, and mentors were killed, save for Pete and his father. Pete and his father had gone on a fateful fishing trip, Pete's father promising his wifey hat he would take good care of the boy. And he did, the boy and his father had a grand old time fishing off the cliff face into the deep ocean, laughing, talking about the warm meal waiting for them at home, etc.
Their return was... Tragic is not a word that fits so well. The smoke rising over the forest between the fishing spot and their village was not a welcoming beacon in the least, but the two men had no idea the gravity of the situation until their fateful arrival. Both men broke down, sobbing and cursing the gods above as they saw the casualties, the damage, the horrendous things the bandits had done. They were unable to do anything but weep for two full days. Finally, as the sadness partially subsided, Pete and his father set to work burying the dead, putting out the remaining fires and salvaging what they could. It was very traumatic for poor Pete, and he was changed by this horror. It was at this time that his father, revealing himself to be a former pirate, began teaching Pete the ways of the sword. Thus, the years of learning began.
Year Twenty:
After seven years of training, acquiring his father's old devil fruit and learning it's ways, practicing his marksmanship, perfecting his sword skills, Pete was gifted by his father with the one of the most legendary swords in the world, Akaho, one of the few Saijō Ō Wazamono swords. With this, his three guns and his devil fruit, Pete set off to make things right with the world by exterminating the bandits who had slaughtered his town all those years ago.
Year Twenty-Three: Upon his return from his crusade, it seemed that Pete's happiness had been restored. His person radiated peace and happiness, so much so that just being around him lifted the spirits of many. However it is a facade, or perhaps more accurately, it is a hope that he will be able to regain that childlike glee he had during his innocent and happy youth.
Extra Information
Extra Clothing: Pete has a pair of sunglasses that he keeps on his shirt. Sometimes, when it's too bright because of the light, he wears them.
Extra Weapons: Pete carries his Saijō Ō Wazamono sword, "Akaho", on the right side of his hip and two pistols, both hidden on the left side. Each clip in the guns can hold up to eight bullets. He also has a pepperbox hidden within his cloak (but you can't know where!)
Relationships: He has heard of both Kant and Saul, as he has been confused for both due to his similar height.
Rp Sample: "Run for your life! It's the Shining Demon!" screamed out the young man as the sihlouette of Pete appeared in the doorway. Immediately the tea shop cleared out, leaving Pete and a very terrified owner alone. However, as he entered the shop and became properly lit, the fear drained from the man's face, replaced by the color it had lost a second ago. "You.. You're not The Shining Demon." said the shopkeeper as he exhaled a sigh of relief. Pete raised an eyebrow at the man, placing his fingers on his chin and letting out a buzzing hum. "Quite right, chap. I'm no demon at all, I'm just Pete." he said, snapping the silence like a dry twig. "And, er, I was hoping' you'd have some tea for a thirsty fellow like myself."
The shopkeeper smiled and nodded. He was pleased to have business since his entire shop had been cleared out because of a misunderstanding. Slowly, the people were returning, pointing at Pete and heaving sighs of relief. "Tea? Oh yes, yes, yes! We have all sorts of tea here! What kind of tea would you like?" the stout man asked, clapping his hands together. Behind him was a wall of various boxes of tea, each with the name on the outside of the box.
Pete, stretching his shoulders slightly, pointed at a random box of tea and said, "Uh.. That one!"
